Privacy Policy

The Short Version

KollectNoir ("we," "our," or "us") runs kollectnoir.online as a catalogue and portfolio of builds. There are no accounts, no shopping cart, and no checkout on this site. We do not ask you for a name, an address, or a payment method here, and we have no way to store one. Sales happen on eBay, and custom builds start with an email you choose to send us.

Information We Collect

Information You Send Us

Our contact page opens your own email program with a message addressed to us. Nothing is submitted through this website. If you send that email, we receive whatever you chose to put in it, and we keep the correspondence so we can quote and make your piece. We use it for that, and for nothing else.

Server Logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which records standard request information: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the referring site. These logs exist to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics scripts on this site.

Storage On Your Own Device

If you save a piece to your wishlist, or set a display name in KN Town, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

KN Town, Presence, and Voice Chat

KN Town is the browser-based 3D video store on this site. It is entirely optional, and everything below applies only if you choose to enter it.

• Presence: While you are in the room, a randomly generated visitor ID, your chosen display name, and your character's position are relayed through Pusher so other visitors can see you moving. This is live data. It is not recorded and it is not retained after you leave.
• Voice chat: Voice chat is off until you turn it on. Turning it on asks your browser for microphone permission, which you can refuse or revoke at any time. When it is on, your audio streams directly to the other visitors in the room over a peer-to-peer connection. We do not record it, store it, or listen to it, and it does not pass through our servers.
• Anyone in the room can hear you. Treat KN Town as a public space and assume other visitors may be listening or recording on their own.

The Mailing List

If you spin the wheel on this site, we keep the email address you give us, your first name if you add one, the discount you won, and which of the two optional interests you ticked. We use them to send you your code and the occasional email about new builds and offers, and nothing else. We don't sell or share the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops all further emails straight away.

Payments Are Handled By Stripe

Pressing Buy takes you to Stripe Checkout. Your card details are entered there, are held by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy, and never reach this site — we do not see them and we do not store them. What Stripe passes back to us is the name, shipping address, email and, if you give one, phone number attached to the order, which is what we use to pack the piece, post it and write to you about it. Some of our pieces are also listed on eBay; if you buy one there instead, that purchase is eBay's and is covered by eBay's policy rather than this one.

Who Else Sees Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. It reaches other parties only in these ways:

• eBay — handles listings, payment, and order details for every sale.
• Cloudflare — hosts the site and keeps the server logs described above.
• Pusher — relays live presence in KN Town, if you enter it.
• Carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — receive the shipping address needed to deliver your piece.
• Legal requirements — if we are required by law to disclose information in response to a valid legal request.

Data Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because we hold so little — your emails, and the order details eBay passes us — there is very little to lose. That is deliberate. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what correspondence we hold for you
• Correct anything inaccurate in it
• Delete it

Email us at the address below and we will handle it. For anything tied to an eBay order, eBay holds that record too, and you can exercise the same rights through your eBay account.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adult collectors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. KN Town includes optional voice chat with other visitors, so we ask that children use it only with a parent or guardian present. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
